Before starting your application please make sure:

1. you fulfill the requirements for the Future Science Leaders program
   □ You are currently in grade 10 or 11.
   □ You can travel to Rick Hansen Secondary for 3:30 to 5:30 to attend weekly sessions from January through to May, except for the school holidays of spring break.
   □ You are able to demonstrate a keen interest in Science and/or Technology.
   □ You can work successfully as a team member.
   □ You have both motivation and focus to work independently.

2. your reference is ready
   □ Name and email address of a personal reference

3. you have pepared short form answers
   □ Statement of interest (max of 600 words)
   □ What is needed to succeed in science? (max of 200 words)
   □ What would you invent if you had unlimited resources? Why? (max of 200 words)
   □ Describe a successful experience that you had in science, technology, math or engineering (max of 200 words)

4. you have the following information ready
   □ Your contact information (phone, email, address)
   □ Your guardians contact information (phone, email)
   □ Your school’s name and address
   □ Your most up to date grades (%) in English, math, science
